Career and Counselling Cell of the College: The Career and Counselling Cell of the College was formally constituted in the year 2006, as advised by the NAAC Pear Team, in 2005. The Cell has now received a formal recognition from UGC Under the XI Plan Merged Scheme Funding. Dr Bulbul Thakur is the coordinator of the cell who is assisted by various staff of the college. The Cell is created in order to lend a helping hand to the students so that they can cope better with the demands and pressures of an increasingly competitive surrounding. The cell regularly organizes campus seminars as required.

Career Counselling Programme by the College NSS Units: Academic and personal counselling: Teachers of the all departments are always available for personal guidance to the students & encourage them for future prospects. Faculty members guide the students depending on their interest of subjects.

Career training through Career oriented Job Courses from 2007: Medical laboratory technology (UGC – Career Oriented Courses) train students as technicians in Bio-Chemical and Pathological laboratories and also for Medical Marketing Professionals. Distance Education mode of education through NSOU enables working students to pursue higher studies. Certificate & Vocational courses help economically backward and dropout students to continue or renew their studies.

Coaching For Entry Level Examinations in different Government and Non-Government Service: The college have started conducting study programmes funded by UGC under the XIth and XIIth Plan schemes for enabling the students to prepare for Competitive Examinations for entry in Government and Non-Government services. More than 275 valuable books and journals, related to General Papers and topics on Competitive Examination are purchased according to the need and requirements of the students and the syllabi. The programme is originally meant for the SC, ST and minority students, but students from the financially backward families and other general students also participates in the programme spontaneously. They are greatly benefitted by the study materials given in such special classes. In the last session, about 101 students participated in the programme and 59 appeared in various competitive exams like West Bengal School Service Commission, Public Service Commission, Railway Recruitment Examination, Staff Selection Commission & others. More than 28 teachers and resource persons were engaged in the programme and 120 classes were taken.
